To determine dust ruffle length, measure from point E to the floor and allow a 1/2" clearance.
Window Measuring Chart
Our staff is experienced at estimating yardages for window treatments from your basic measurements. The simple steps listed below will help you measure more accurately, so that we may serve you better. Accurate measurements are vital to determining your yardage requirements.
Either install your rod first or determine the required placement of the rod and then measure:
- Length of rod A to B
- Front of the rod to the wall, B to C
- Finished length, A to (length)
- If considering pinch pleatedĀ draperies, measure the amount of wall space on either side of the window: ____" (right side) / _____" (left side)
(Our staff will assist in making the necessary allowances for pattern match, fullness, headings, hems, overlap, stackback, ruffles, etc.)
Helpful Hints:
- Drapery Yardage Chart
- Double check all your measurements!
- Measure all your windows. Even though they may appear to be the same size, slight variations can be significant.
- Draperies that will hang in front of sheers or other long draperies should finish with 1" longer.
- Drapery linings should be considered as part of your window treatment investment. Lining helps protect your fabric from sun damage, makes for a uniform appearance from your home's exterior and adds body and form to your draperies.
